Maurice Ames Attends Event Celebrating New Partnership Between U.S. SBA and the African American Alliance of CDFI

CEOs for Small Business Growth

The African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs (The Alliance) has teamed up with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to fuel entrepreneurship and promote the sustainable growth of small businesses. Marking a significant moment during Black History Month, this groundbreaking partnership was kicked off with a signing ceremony on February 1, 2024, at the historic Hayti Heritage Center in Durham, NC. Together, The Alliance and SBA are committed to supporting the start-up, maintenance, and expansion of small businesses, particularly focusing on economic prosperity for Black communities through the powerful network of Black-led Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). Let’s celebrate this step forward towards economic development during a month that honors the achievements and contributions of African Americans.
