Do you have a new business startup in mind? Are you an early-stage company that needs additional funding? Do you plan to create jobs on the Eastern Shore?
Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center (ESEC) and Maryland Capital Enterprises (MCE) are excited to launch the Eastern Shore Business Plan Competition. The purpose of the competition is to promote and encourage the startup of new businesses, and in turn the creation of new jobs, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Open to individuals or teams, the competition seeks unique, innovative, and scalable business plans that are fundable for any idea of a commercial endeavor. All submissions must be the original work of those making the submission and must describe a new or early-stage company.
Three winners will be selected at the upcoming Dorchester County Economic Development Summit 2012 on December 9-10, 2012 in Cambridge, MD.
- First Place – $20,000 in cash & services. ALSO—Winner automatically advances as a Semi-Finalist in the InvestMaryland Challenge to compete for $100,000 cash prize
- Second Place – $10,000 in cash & services
- Third Place – $5,000 in cash & services
