Bank of America recently donated $5,000 to MCE to support its automated business accounting courses. The course will train at least 30 entrepreneurs and benefit at least 60 persons. As a part of our Entrepreneurs Academy, MCE has launched a class on the use of QuickBooks and other automated services to do business accounting. Two classes will be held; each is once a week for seven weeks. One is conducted in Salisbury and the other is conducted in Easton to serve the Upper and Lower Shore parts of the target area. They are conducted with laptops thanks to the support of the UMES Rural Development Center, giving participants a hands-on experience. The funding will allow MCE to keep the courses affordable.
