Baltimore Women’s Business Center Expands

The Baltimore area Women’s Business Center has expanded and relocated from 1800 N. Charles St.in Baltimore to 333 N. Charles St. in the historic Baltimore Women’s Industrial Exchange building.

Operated by MCE (Maryland Capital Enterprises, Inc.), the center is designed to assist businesswomen in starting and expanding small businesses in Baltimore City, and both Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties.

It offers business education, consulting, one-on-one mentoring and micro- and small business loans to women entrepreneurs. Counselors assess the client’s needs and work with them to develop a business plan and secure the assistance they need for free. The Women’s Business Center also provides free training in a variety of courses including: First Steps of Starting Your Own Business, Business Plan Development, Marketing, Social Media, QuickBooks, How to Balance Work and Family Life and more. In addition to these free services, MCE’s Women-Owned Business Loan Fund offers loan products to assist businesses owned by women.
