Counseling and Technical Assistance

MCE offers one-on-one free counseling to future business owners. This counseling includes but is not limited to:

• An initial business counseling session with the prospective applicant;
• Initial assessment includes a review of their business idea and feasibility of the plan;
• A business start-up checklist is provided;
• Start up cost identification; business plan development, marketing plan assistance and financial projection (cash flow)    assistance is provided in subsequent sessions;
• Information on legal description of business, registering a business is discussed;
• Importance of credit and collateral is reviewed and discussed;
• Filling out a small business application, personal financial statement, and other related forms is provided;
• Small business training courses are recommended.
